Prices are rising very quickly, the psychological barrier of 350€/t has been crossed, we are starting to raise prices which, we believe, will soon reach 400€/t. Some buyers have difficulty keeping up financially, so we expect a decrease in purchases in terms of quantity.

PotatoMarket also has questions about potato stocks. Among farmers we know them, they are lower than in previous years. But for traders and customers we do not know the stocks. Traders reportedly bought potato lots directly from farmers, but the lots have not yet left. Some Spanish buyers say they have filled their fridges to protect themselves in case of too high a price increase. This would allow them to limit their purchases in the coming months.

However, we think that prices will continue to rise during the month of March.
