We are at the beginning of 2019 and the levels of potato available on the market are well below the usual levels at this time of year. Quality lots are becoming scarcer and rising prices mean that there is also less demand. According to UNPT and CNIPT, there are only 448 kt of gross stocks left, which is 33% less than the three-year average. From last year until now, the price increase has been quite alarming. On March 21, 2018 the price was 5.6€/q and on March 21, 2019 28.9€/q. We were able to obtain this information thanks to the magazine terre-net.fr and we share the table of prices they have made this week.
