We can finally announce it! PotatoMarket is one of the new associated members of Europatat. We are glad and really thankful to all their members for letting be part of the organisation.

As a young company, it is very important to us to share our values with other companies and associations so experienced in this area. We share, without a doubt, all the interests this group works for. Europatat is looking for a fairer and more transparent future for the potato sector and this is our business mission too. Despite the efforts made by the administrations during decades to improve those transparency conditions, the resistance of the intermediaries and the nature of the professionals has allowed the continuation of inefficient markets due to the lack of transparency. That is why we need associations and companies like the ones who form Europatat, ready to help administrations with these issues.

PotatoMarket brings to the market the first platform directed towards the professional potato trade to help potato producers to get rid of the dependence on intermediaries by using new digital tools. Some products that used to be only available face to face are now digitals, which means all buyers and sellers can access them easily to know what is going on the market at every moment.

Now, we count with a platform that is completely available for trading; but, thanks to our participation in Europatat, it will be easier to represent and promote the interests of the potato sector internationally.
